Leslie Gordon is an author and storyteller at heart who believes in uplifting, inspiring and advocating for all women.

Leslie Gordon is a mom, an author, an entrepreneur and the creator of LeslieWrites, LLC. She has been a communications, marketing and public relations strategist for a really long time, but that's not even the fun part about this go-getting, jet-setting woman. Leslie is an avid fitness enthusiast who works hard every day to stay fit and focused. She falls flat on her face sometimes in the fight to be healthy but she always gets up swinging. She has completed  eleven full marathons and twelve half-marathons and she surrounds herself with like-minded women who strive to do great things in this lifetime.  She drives her family insane because she's constantly bringing organic food into their home or reading a new nutrition study out loud at the dinner table. Leslie loves herself from the inside out but often wishes her thighs were thinner. She’s flawed but innately fabulous because her momma told her so.

Raised in Chicago and Kona, Hawaii, Leslie fell in love with track and field in the fifth grade and ran competitively in high school on the Big Island of Hawaii. In addition to living in several states in the US, she has lived in Fabriano, Italy, Barcelona, Spain and Tokyo, Japan, and maintains a longstanding love affair with and appreciation for different cultures. A few years ago, she was featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show for practicing Bikram yoga and running a marathon in Paris, France after being inspired by the book, Eat, Pray, Love.

Leslie's dad, who died when she was thirteen years old, suffered from Chron's disease and her paternal grandmother died suddenly of a stroke when Leslie was in college. She has seen up close and personal how chronic illness and disease affects individuals and those who love them. She is determined to be a really loud voice in helping people realize that while you can't determine the cards you're dealt, you can make certain choices that positively impact the quality of your life.

Leslie loves to cycle. She loves to run. She loves being outside watching the sun rise as long as she's doing so while running along Chicago's lakefront in the summer or sitting on a blanket by the Pacific Ocean. Cold weather is Leslie's kryptonite. She is a mentor to a host of men and women. She also mentors young women as a member of The Links, Incorporated. Leslie is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She earned a master’s degree in humanities from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in advertising from the University of Illinois.
